This is a very helpful, comprehensive and insightful home site that has more free information than any site we have seen. Go to the Broadman/Holman Bible section: Hear the Bible read, or download large portions of scripture. There is free software or you can do an indepth Bible study. On the Home Site, you can also find a 24-hour counsellor. Southern Baptist's LifeWay site is fantastic! (No, they do not pay me to say that!)

The following sites are useful in checking out rumors and stories "floating" on the Internet. Christians should work diligently to avoid spreading rumors, half-truths, and urban legends. They hurt others and can ruin our integrity. Check them out BEFORE you forward them.

Recently, we received an e-mail stating that Madilyn Murry O'Hare was again working to get the FCC to block all Christian programming. The truth is that she has been dead for many years. The FCC hired additional staff just to answer this false accusation. They actually have encouraged the development of Christian networks, radio and television stations, and has never had a plan to ban them!

Before you hit "FORWARD," check the stories so you will not be embarrassed by circulating incorrect information.

And for a good chuckle about all of this: Bill Gates is not going to send you money or track you on the Internet. And Applebees is not going to give you free food, nor will you be getting 10,000,000 from a secret bank account in Nigeria.
